Ramon Johnson


With a complex practice, Ramon Johnson (b. 1994; Ellenwood, GA) interrogates the sociopolitical structures and histories that oppress the lives of Black queer and trans* communities. Ramon earned a BA in Sociology from Morehouse College and an MA in Black Queer Studies from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. He is currently a PhD candidate in the Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies department of the University of Washington, Seattle. His scholarly work is published in A Gathering Together Literary Journal, About Campus, Men & Masculinities. The interdisciplinary artist and researcher lives and works in Seattle, Washington.
